One slight hitch - the e-mail advising me of the despatch was not received until after the monitor was delivered. ***OUR REPLY*** I can explain the slight hitch - This was probably an order that was shipped directly from one of our distributors, we get an automated alert when these orders have been despatched, occasionally this can arrive late or not happen and need manual intervention the next morning. I'd say this is what has happened with Michael's order and because it was only spotted on Monday morning it was too late to tell him. It's worth noting that we don't offer a Saturday delivery, our couriers will however sometimes choose to deliver on a Saturday (at no extra charge) if it's more convenient for them. Despite ordering the Buffalo drive from you because your web site said you had stock, after the initial confirmation e-mail I heard nothing. 2 days later I called you and was told you were out of stock, and because stock was not due in for 8 days (longer than your 7 day limit) you were cancelling my order - without telling me! Not surprisingly I bought the drive from elsewhere and am very happy with it. You need to sort out your web site stock level indications, and even more so your e-mail notifications. Let us know if you are out of stock - let us decide whether we will wait or go elsewhere ... you'll make more friends (and sales) that way. ***OUR REPLY*** A couple of things to mention with this one; Our stock check is linked to both our stock system and that of our suppliers, so should always be accurate. Sometimes stock can be sold before we have time to process an order, we try to tell people this might happen if the stock level is low. Secondly we do have automated email alerts and a manual check to make sure people are notified if their order is not going to ship for any reason. It looks like both have failed us on this occasion. It looks like Steve did not see any of the emails he was sent or they were not delivered for some reason. All companies have some unhappy customers but More Computers had mainly satisfied ones, so I thought I give them a try. All I can say is the service was excellent. I placed the order on the Sunday evening and had my product delivered by Tues. The product was in tip-top condition and by Tues night it was all set-up and working. As with many companies it is often when you have a problem with a product you discover aftersales is not so good, but as my product and delivery were great I can't comment on that. O 14/01/08 The Archos 605 wifi was ordered in early December but failed to be delivered prior to Christmas - although the money was taken from my credit card on the day of order. I ended up buying at a lower price from ******. ***Our Reply*** I'm disappointed to hear about this one, but it's true we did have problems securing stock of the Archos 605 just before Christmas. It was one of those products everyone wanted and sold through really fast. We do take payments from credit cards as you order, it's the way the majority of web shops work. If a refund is needed we act immediately. As for the lower price, the prices did drop on the Archos after Christmas and had we been able to supply Richard we would have refunded him the difference in price. Richard 13/01/08 I recently brought a Asus P5E motherboard which was faulty and so had to return the item and await a replacement. There was a delay with my getting the replacement but this was down to a problem with the courier. More computers were great though and kept me informed as to what was going on until I received the replacement. OUR REPLY: Sorry to hear about your ordering problems. We've looked in to it with the information available from our site and the limited data we can see from RBS. The error messages point to a mismatch of either the card verification code or the additional security features like verified by Visa. Basically the RBS system did not find the data it was expecting in this field and rejected the transaction. When the transaction is resubmitted, after several attempts the system thinks it is a fraudulent transaction and will not accept anything further. When you tried a different browser it sees this as a new 'session' and disregards the previous attempts, hence why your order went through with IE. Answer: Sometimes our suppliers have slightly different product codes - so when the automated product import runs, it sees two or in this case three products. We try to filter them out and select the lowest priced product, unfortunately (as in this case) some slip through. You can in fact order any of the products and they will be delivered.
